What Makes SafeTested® Different From Other Trust Seal Companies

     Already I have mentioned our SANS GIAC security certifications and the fact that we offer all three types of security seals plus our Phishing Prevention and Response. All these already put us ahead of the pack but there’s more.      You see, a computer on a network is able to communicate through its ‘ports’. Ports are like your cable, satellite or phone line that brings and sends information from your home. If a technician wanted to find out which ports on a computer were open for communication then he would use a port scanning program. And this is one of the tools that hackers can use to break into your web server.      In other words, ports are points of security vulnerability and therefore must be checked periodically to be sure they are secure. However, most of our competitors do not scan all ports because such scans can take several days. At SafeTested we will scan all TCP/UDP ports periodically to ensure your web server is as secure as Fort Knox.      What’s more, although most of the hacker testing is done automatically, we will manually review each test to check for “false positives”. False positives are test results that say ‘OK’ when there is still actually a problem. But most companies do not review their test results manually leaving you feeling safe when you are not.
